Terms of service
Written to be read, not skimmed past. These terms apply to businesses that subscribe to OnixDesk and to anyone using this website or calling our demo line.

What OnixDesk is
OnixDesk answers your business phone line with an AI voice assistant: it greets callers, answers questions from the knowledge you approve, books appointments, takes messages, and sends you summaries. It is operated from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Plans and payment
Service is a one-time setup fee plus a monthly subscription (current pricing on the pricing page). Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. The subscription is month-to-month: cancel any time and service runs to the end of the paid period. Setup fees cover work already performed and are non-refundable once your assistant is live.
What we promise — and what AI can't
We configure your assistant carefully, monitor it, and fix issues fast. But an AI receptionist, like a human one, can mishear, misunderstand or make a mistake. You should review appointment and message summaries we send you. The service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
OnixDesk is not for emergencies. Lines answered by OnixDesk must not be presented as emergency lines (911-type services, medical or crisis dispatch).
Your responsibilities
You confirm you own or control the phone line we answer, that the business information you give us is accurate, and that you will tell callers about call recording where the law requires it (we include a recording notice by default). You agree not to use OnixDesk for unlawful purposes, including communications that would violate CASL.
Data
Call recordings, transcripts and caller details belong to your business; we process them for you as described in the privacy policy. When you leave, you can take an export of your data with you.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost business from a missed or mishandled call).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes go to the courts of Manitoba.
